Yorgos Karamihos is a highly accomplished and versatile artist, with a multifaceted career spanning acting, direction, and teaching. Born and raised in Northern Greece, he pursued his higher education at Ionian University, where he earned degrees in Philosophy and History, as well as the Greek National Theatre Academy.
In201 2, Karamihos received a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship, recognizing his exceptional artistic talents, to study at the esteemed Stella Adler Academy of Acting & Theatre in Los Angeles. His impressive academic credentials led to an immediate offer to teach his own acting technique at the academy.
As an actor, Karamihos boasts an impressive repertoire, having appeared in over forty theatrical productions, ranging from ancient Greek dramas and William Shakespeare's works to Anton Chekhov, Tennessee Williams, and other classical and modern plays. His extensive filmography includes more than thirty feature films and numerous TV series, such as The Durrells (2016),Bulletproof (2018),and Genius (2017),with a notable appearance in Picasso: Chapter Ten (2018).
In addition to his acting credits, Karamihos has also directed multiple theatrical productions in prominent venues in Greece and the United States. His exceptional talent has earned him several accolades, including the Best Stage Actor award of Greece in 2008.
Moreover, Karamihos has demonstrated his linguistic versatility by translating plays and books from English, French, and Spanish into Greek, and has published several theatre plays.
