Zach Rineer, a talented filmmaker from Philadelphia and Delaware roots, currently residing in New York City, has garnered recognition for his work as a producer and director on over thirty short films showcased at prestigious festivals such as Nashville, Philadelphia, Santa Fe, Rehoboth Beach, and NFFTY Film Festivals.
In 2022, Zach collaborated with Yoni Azulay to produce the western thriller short film, Idle Speed, which made its mark at the 2023 Cannes Short Film Corner and received the Best Producing Undergrad Award from NYU's 2023 First Run Film Festival. Idle Speed was later publicly released on Omeleto in 2024.
Throughout his career, Zach has developed a strong background in producing, writing, and directing, often working alongside his collaborator, Mike Macera, on numerous short films, including Nobody Left Behind, which has garnered over 80,000 views online.
In 2024, Zach embarked on his first narrative feature film as a producer, teaming up with Mike Macera as writer/director on the coming-of-age drama, Alice-Heart. The highly anticipated film is set to make its World Premiere at Slamdance Film Festival 2025 in Los Angeles, California.
