Zane was born and raised in the vibrant city of New York, where his early life was filled with the excitement of working on the popular TV show "Dave's World" at the tender age of eight. During the four-year duration of filming, Zane's family made the bi-coastal transition between Manhattan and Los Angeles, a lifestyle that would eventually lead to their permanent relocation in LA.
As the show came to an end in 1997, Zane's passion for acting began to wane, and he started to dedicate more time and effort to his newfound interest in the guitar. This new path led him to explore the jazz bands at school, and eventually, he made the bold decision to leave acting behind and pursue his dream of becoming a jazz musician.
Zane's journey as a musician was marked by numerous accomplishments, including his regular appearances at the local blues jam sessions in LA, where he quickly gained recognition as a talented player. By the age of 16, he had already started to make a name for himself in the circuit, and by the time he turned 18, he had achieved an impressive array of accomplishments, including winning first place at the prestigious Monterey Jazz Festival with the Hamilton High School "A" Jazz Band, touring Japan with the renowned Monterey Jazz Festival All-Star Big Band, performing at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for the LA Spotlight Awards Competition, and being offered the guitar chair on Michael Buble's 2003 tour, although he ultimately declined the opportunity.
Zane's impressive resume earned him a spot in the prestigious Studio/Jazz Guitar program at USC's Thornton School of Music, where he spent three semesters honing his craft while continuing to play locally. Eventually, he left school to tour with the talented Renee Olstead and Jesse McCartney.
Today, Zane can be found playing guitar with the house band on Last Call with Carson Daly, a testament to his enduring passion for music and his commitment to his craft.
