Biography

Zaq Latino, a multifaceted artist, has established themselves as an actor, musician, and composer in New York City.

Their journey began when they fell deeply in love with the musical 'Wicked' at the tender age of eleven. This sparked a passion within them, and they decided to audition for their middle school production of 'Sleeping Beauty'. Although they weren't cast, this setback did not deter them from pursuing their dreams.

In 2019, Zaq made the bold decision to relocate to NYC, where they have since been fortunate enough to have been a part of 17 films and a dozen plays, both on and off-off-Broadway. Their impressive resume includes a notable network TV debut on Law and Order: SVU.

Some of their notable credits include Keith Miller's 'This Is My Hero Arc' and Zoe Kavanagh's 'Demon Hunter: Time 2 Kill'. In addition to their acting endeavors, Zaq is a dedicated writer and producer. They are the founder and executive director of validBodies arts project, a 501(c)3 performance production company that is committed to identity-conscious casting.

validBodies arts project has successfully produced three shows in NYC venues, garnering widespread acclaim from audiences. Zaq is also independently producing their feature film 'Welwitschia'.

As a trans-femme, non-binary individual, Zaq is dedicated to normalizing gender non-conforming representation in professional spaces. Their tireless efforts aim to create a more inclusive and accepting environment for all.
