Biography

A renowned Polish actor, theatrical, film, and television, as well as a theater director, with a long-standing connection to several esteemed institutions.

He was affiliated with the Dramatic Theatre in Szczecin during two distinct periods: 1950-1951 and 1960-1961, during which he directed a total of five theatrical productions.

Subsequently, he was associated with the Ateneum Theatre in Warsaw, serving in that capacity from 1951 to 1957 and again from 1961 to 1991. His tenure at the Ateneum spanned over three decades, a testament to his dedication and contributions to the world of Polish theatre.

He also had a brief stint at the Jaracz Theatre in Olsztyn, where he worked from 1957 to 1958. Furthermore, he was a member of the Osterwa Theatre in Lublin, serving from 1958 to 1960.

Prior to his work in theatre, he gained recognition for his voice acting, particularly for his portrayal of Soames Forsyte in the Polish dubbing of the classic novel "The Forsyte Saga". However, it was his iconic role as Major Wołczyk in the popular Polish television series "07 zgłoś się" that truly cemented his status as a beloved figure in Polish entertainment.
