Zlatko Grgić, a pioneering Croatian animator, director, and screenwriter, left an indelible mark on the world of animated film with his groundbreaking contributions.
As a stalwart member of the prestigious Zagreb School of Animated Films, Grgić co-created the iconic and internationally acclaimed animated series Professor Balthazar, which captivated audiences from 1967 to 1978.
In addition to his work on Professor Balthazar, Grgić also directed the highly acclaimed Muzikalno prase, also known as The Musical Pig, in 1965. This masterpiece of a short film went on to win the prestigious Palme d'Or for Best Short Film at the renowned Cannes Film Festival.
