Zoe Swicord Kazan, a talented individual, was born in Los Angeles, California, to a family of esteemed screenwriters, Nicholas Kazan and Robin Swicord. Her paternal grandfather, Elia Kazan, was a renowned director, and Zoe's heritage is a rich blend of Greek, English, and German roots.
With a strong educational background, Zoe Kazan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater from Yale University. Her early career in the entertainment industry saw her take on the role of "Sandy" in The New Group's production of "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie", opposite the esteemed Cynthia Nixon, in the fall of 2006. She returned to the stage in the fall of 2007, starring in Playwrights Horizon's production of "100 Saints You Should Know" and the New Group's "Things We Want". Today, Zoe Kazan resides in Brooklyn, pursuing her passion for the performing arts.
