Two scientists, Robert Jones and Frank Enari, are sent to a remote research station to replace a missing colleague, Dr. Vogel, who failed to communicate after a severe snowstorm.

As they conduct research on the isolated polar outpost, a sense of unease creeps over the two scientists as they begin to suspect that a mysterious presence is lurking alongside the primates they're studying.
