In a small mid-20th century office, the souls of the recently deceased arrive to relive their happiest memories before entering their personal heaven. A team of "social workers" helps them select and recreate their memories, which are then filmed and screened. The story follows two counselors, Takashi and Shiori, as they assist the recently deceased and confront their own pasts. Takashi is assigned to help an old man, Ichiro, but struggles with his own memories after learning that Ichiro married his former fiancée.
