In a drought-stricken village, Vijay sets out to buy tube wells to bring much-needed water to his community. However, his journey to Bombay takes a devastating turn when his money is stolen, leaving him hopeless. One fateful night, Vijay intervenes in a fight between Amar and a group of thugs, and the two form an unlikely friendship. Vijay begins living with Amar, but his world is turned upside down when he discovers that his new friend is the same person who stole his money.
