Two half-brothers, Saamy and Walter, born to the same father but different mothers, have a complicated relationship. Saamy is a skilled thief who often teases Walter about his shortcomings. They have a local benefactor, Highness, who treats them like family. The brothers' lives take a turn when they develop relationships with different women and Walter's performance impresses a famous actor. This brings the brothers closer together, but their happiness is short-lived as Highness's past enemy returns and causes trouble. Highness is eventually murdered, and the brothers seek revenge.
