A curious and rebellious kitten named Banjo gets into trouble by jumping off a chicken coop roof, only to be ordered to "fetch a switch". Feeling reckless, he hitches a ride on a feed truck to Salt Lake City, where he discovers the thrill of the city. However, he soon finds it cold and lonely, leading him to long for home.
