In ancient times, a Lybian king kept a basilisk, a serpent-like dragon that turned people to stone, under his control using a golden scepter during a solar eclipse. When archaeologist Harrison 'Harry' McColl uncovers the remains of the basilisk and its victims, he unwittingly sets the monster free once more. As the creature begins to wreak havoc, Harry and his friends must find a way to re-petrify the beast before it's too late.
