A spoiled and reckless playboy, Harley Ames, arrives at a former banana depot turned bomber training station in Panama, where he clashes with the strict training officer, "Hardtack" Hamilton, over his reckless flying and romantic interest in Hamilton's daughter. After crashing his plane and killing a fellow pilot, Ames must redeem himself, and gets a chance to do so when Hamilton and another pilot have a crash in the jungle.
