Steve Farrell, a gun salesman, is determined to recover his stolen Colt.45 pistols from ruthless killer Jason Brett and his gang, who are leaving a trail of robbery and murder across the territory. After recovering a stagecoach carrying gold and returning it to town, Farrell is appointed deputy, unaware that the sheriff and others, including the seemingly innocent Donovans, are secretly in league with the outlaws.
