In the next movie, Bobby Comfort, a cunning thief, successfully escapes from prison and returns to his family. However, he soon gets entangled in a new scheme with Sammy Nalo, a mysterious crime mind, to steal from underprotected hotels in New York. Despite his accomplices' reckless behavior, Bobby's charm and wit help them evade capture. But when his own brother-in-law, Phil Parris, becomes obsessed with his sister Peggy and gets demoted from detective to uniformed officer, he ultimately leads the authorities to launch a task force to catch Bobby and his accomplices.
