In 1805, the city of Nuestra Señora de La Paz faces dual threats: an indigenous invasion and a vampire terrorizing the population. An Irish spy, accused of the murders, is captured and sentenced to death. A young nun, who wants to aid the rebellion, is torn between her loyalty to her uncle, a Franciscan priest, and her desire to help the rebels. Meanwhile, an ancient vampire searches for the source of his power to become all powerful and conquer all.
