In the Old West's dying days, an elderly ex-outlaw named Handsome Harry Holland is released from prison and heads to Bell City, where he's amazed children with his gun skills. He joins a card game at the saloon, wins all the money of a cheating Reggie Bell, and tries to cash the IOU at the bank. However, the corrupt sheriff orders him out of town, and after a standoff, Holland kills the sheriff in self-defense. Wounded, he takes a hotel room and holds a theatre actress hostage, refusing to surrender.
