Dreaming Out Loud background

Dreaming Out Loud

In the heart of Arkansas, a quaint general store becomes the setting for a series of comedic misadventures between two lovable characters, Lum and Abner, as they interact with the colorful locals.

The movie takes place in Pineridge, Arkansas, where the local general store is the hub of activity. The store's post office is run by Alice, who is in love with Kenneth, the son of the town doctor. However, their families have a feud, making it difficult for them to be together. Kenneth works as a doctor in the next town, but his low income makes it hard for him to support a wife and his younger brother. Meanwhile, the town's drunkard becomes a deputy sheriff after his daughter is killed in a hit-and-run accident.
