The story follows Eddie Malick, a shy and scrawny high school wrestler with a prosthetic glass eye, who seizes an opportunity to gain popularity after his eye accidentally pops out during a match. He exploits his new advantage, becoming a freakish sensation and celebrity in the school, but begins to worry if his eyeball is becoming more popular than he is.
