In the corrupt town of Bridgetown, racketeer "Big Bill" Anderson wreaks havoc until District Attorney Dexter Wayne and his assistant, John Carter, team up to take him down. But when Big Bill offers Wayne a bribe, it seems like the DA has given in to corruption. However, John secretly records the meeting, and Wayne's daughter Patricia's involvement ultimately leads to the exposure of the truth: Wayne was playing a trap to catch Big Bill all along.
