Childhood friends Jong-dae and Yong-ki struggle to survive in 1970s Gangnam, a developing area in Seoul. After their homes are demolished, they turn to violent political clashes for cash, but are eventually separated. Years later, Jong-dae lives an honest life with former gang leader Kil-su, while Yong-ki joins the powerful Myeongdong-pa gang.
