A struggling young comedian, Schecky Moskowitz, finds himself working on a cruise ship hosting the Miss Universe pageant, where he must navigate the ship's comedian and ladies' man, Dickie Diamond. Meanwhile, a group of thugs, mercenaries, and terrorists attempt to take control of the ship, giving Schecky the opportunity to prove himself and make a name in the world of cruise-ship comedy.
