A Roman prisoner, King Herod of Judea, makes a dramatic comeback after being presumed dead. Despite his loyal lieutenant Aaron's failed attempt to keep a promise to eliminate the Queen, Herod manages to regain his palace with the help of Augustus. However, upon his return, his son Antipater reveals that Aaron has indeed betrayed him.
