Spring has arrived in Jellystone Park, and Yogi Bear is up to his old tricks, stealing picnic baskets and outsmarting Ranger Smith. Meanwhile, Cindy confesses her love to Yogi, but things take a turn when Ranger Smith receives a call from the San Diego Zoo asking for one of the bears. Yogi sees an opportunity and convinces another bear to take his place, going into hiding without telling Boo-Boo. As Cindy searches for Yogi, she discovers Boo-Boo, who fills her in on Yogi's plan. Yogi continues to scam food in the park, thinking he's gone undetected. However, Ranger Smith learns of "The Brown Phantom" and announces that whoever it is will be sent to the San Diego Zoo. Cindy confesses that she sent Yogi to the zoo, and Yogi reveals the truth.
