Donald, a vigilant listening post operator, dozes off and accidentally blares trumpet calls, startling his nephews. Seeking revenge, they launch a model plane carrying gingerbread men with parachutes. As Donald shoots it down, he's terrified by the parachutes and simulated battle sounds. One gingerbread man lands on his beak, prompting him to banish his nephews. Later, he mistakes a bee for an airplane and calls them back to defend against the perceived threat.
