In this movie, a young producer named Doug Tyler meets a singer named Pat Thatcher twice, but makes a poor impression both times. Despite this, Pat's father, the Commodore, convinces Doug to mortgage his family home to invest in a show. However, the producers steal Doug's money and the show must close before it even opens, unless one of the three can come up with a miraculous solution.
