A commando unit is sent to destroy a crucial dam in Italy, but after being ambushed, only its leader remains. He forms an unlikely alliance with a group of local young people who have lost their families to the German occupation, and together they hatch a plan to take down the dam and avenge the death of the young people's loved ones.
