A firefighter buys an isolated old house with his estranged wife, hoping to save their marriage and start anew. Despite the house being split in two, they must share the space with tenants, the Andersons, for a month. The wife, Maggie, is left alone to unpack and decorate, where she discovers a phone and strange noises, and eventually meets Mrs. Anderson, who reveals her husband is abusive, just like Maggie believes her husband, Chris, is.
