A celebrated actress, plagued by self-doubt and the pressures of fame, assumes a new persona to flee the public eye, only to cross paths with a rugged wilderness guide who remains oblivious to her true celebrity status.

Dr. Aaron Sylvester, a renowned psychiatrist, treats Hollywood star Carol Corliss for her intense fear of crowds. She disguises herself to avoid recognition, but the doctor prescribes a mountain retreat to help her overcome her phobia. Accompanied by outdoorsman Emory Muir, who is initially unimpressed by her celebrity status, Carol begins to transform from her alter ego to her glamorous self. Complications arise when her co-star Jay Holmes professes his love, adding a romantic twist to her recovery.
