John Hammond's partner, George Sullivan, dies under suspicious circumstances, leading to an insurance payout. As a result, a company investigator, Tom Davison, is sent to look into the case. Davison teams up with Sullivan's daughter, Nancy, and joins Hammond's business as a salesman. As he gets closer to uncovering the truth, the gang behind the racket kills Hammond and makes it look like a suicide. However, Davison gains crucial evidence when the gang kills another man for his insurance, only to kidnap him themselves.
