Zishe Breitbart, a Jewish blacksmith's son from Poland, becomes a strongman sensation in Weimar, Berlin, while his employer Hanussen aims to establish a powerful Ministry of the Occult in Hitler's government. As anti-Semitism grows in Berlin, Zishe must decide how to use his strength, plagued by nightmares and seeking guidance from a local rabbi. Convinced he's chosen by God, Zishe believes he must warn his people of the impending danger.
