Jimmy's Hall

A passionate activist returns to Ireland after a decade abroad, determined to revitalize a dance hall that had previously sparked controversy and trouble, amidst widespread poverty and oppression.

Jimmy Gralton returns to his Irish hometown in 1932 after 10 years of exile in the US. His presence sparks joy among the villagers, who appreciate his passion for dancing, singing, and social activities. However, the local priest, squire, and fascist leader, Dennis O'Keefe, are threatened by Jimmy's socialist activism and aim to shut down his village hall, which has become a hub for community gatherings and intellectual pursuits.
