Ryan Legrand, a private investigator, runs a firm specializing in matrimonial cases with his partner Dean. His cynicism about relationships stems from his successful investigations, making him reluctant to open up to women. To overcome his fears, Ryan joins a video dating service and meets Tura, a struggling actress. Despite being attracted to her, they have a disastrous weekend with her friends, leading to a falling out and Tura's decision to distance herself. Crushed, Ryan resorts to his expertise, setting up surveillance on Tura's every move.
