In a small apartment in Paris, Madame Rosa, a former prostitute and Auschwitz survivor, cares for a group of children, including her favorite, Momo, a young man from Algeria who she raises as a Muslim. As Madame Rosa's age and health decline, Momo takes on more responsibilities, including earning money on the street with a puppet. Meanwhile, Nadine, a film editor, befriends Momo, and his long-lost father suddenly reappears. As Madame Rosa's condition worsens, Momo must navigate a difficult situation to ensure her well-being.
