Mamachas del Ring is a film about Carmen Rosa, a Bolivian cholita wrestler who became an international star in the early 2000s along with three other Cholitas. After their success on Peruvian TV, they were black-listed from performing in Bolivia's main wrestling league due to jealousy and envy. The Mamachas took matters into their own hands, organizing their own shows and managing their own business, but the pressures of daily living and gendered responsibilities began to take a toll on them, especially Carmen Rosa.
