During the Korean War, Matt saves the life of his buddy, Vince, who promises to repay him by sharing a million dollars. Eight years later, Matt's marriage to Nina is on the brink of collapse due to his wife's infidelity and his own desperation. Vince reappears, proposing a risky plan to recover $3.5 million stolen by enemies of a Central American dictator. In exchange for Matt's help, Vince offers a large reward to be shared between them. Despite initial skepticism, Matt agrees to join Vince's mission, but only if it doesn't involve violence.
