The flight is led by Captain Pete Douglas, who's preoccupied with his wife's upcoming surgery, while also dealing with an announced snowstorm. The plane makes a scheduled stop in Salt Lake City, where it refuels and takes on new passengers, including an extradited prisoner and his U.S. Marshal escort. As the plane continues to New York, the Marshal's health issues worsen, creating an opportunity for the prisoner to take control of the aircraft.
