In the year Universal Century 0079, a war breaks out between the Earth and the Zeon colonies, led by the ambitious Zabi family. The Zeon forces, equipped with massive Mobile Suits, have devastated the Earth, and the Federal Forces are on the brink of defeat. The only hope lies with the top-secret "V" Project, which has developed its own Mobile Suits. When the Zeon attacks the V Project's base, a 15-year-old boy named Amuro Ray discovers the Gundam, the sole remaining prototype, and becomes an ace pilot.
