Dame Agatha Christie's agents propose publishing a long-forgotten manuscript, in which she finally kills off her famous creation, Hercule Poirot. Christie sees this as a chance to be rid of the "wretched little man" who has been a troublemaker for her. However, Poirot himself appears at her doorstep, sparking a game of cat and mouse between the detective and his creator, with both fighting for the manuscript and their own survival.
