On the Ice

In the isolated town of Barrow, Alaska, two Iñupiaq teenagers, Qalli and Aivaaq, grow up like brothers in a community defined by ancient traditions and modern passions. After a violent fight on a seal hunt ends in the death of their friend James, Qalli and Aivaaq are consumed by guilt and fear, lying about the accident as their town mourns and their father becomes increasingly suspicious.
