The story follows two professional thieves, Mac and Li Ann, who are separated while fleeing a powerful crime lord. After Mac is imprisoned in Hong Kong, he is recruited into a crime-fighting unit and teamed with Li Ann and her new fiancé, Victor, an ex-cop, in Vancouver.
