Jim Parker flees the law and finds himself in a town dominated by the ruthless Higgins and his corrupt ally, Judge. When Parker confronts Higgins, he's unexpectedly appointed Sheriff, only to be betrayed and shot in the back. After recovering, Parker sets out to avenge his attacker, but things take a surprising turn when a stray bullet hits the printing press plate, revealing it's made of solid gold.
