Tom Evans, nephew of U.S. Marshal Sandy Hopkins, trails his cattle to Yucca City to sell to Ben Crowley, but loses his money in a rigged card game. Nevada Jack McKenzie, a U.S. Marshal working undercover, secures one of the fixed decks and later finds Tom severely wounded after he's shot by Crowley's men.
