Overland to Deadwood background

Overland to Deadwood

In a cutthroat quest for supremacy, a cunning entrepreneur commands a group of ruthless raiders to dismantle the competition and claim dominance over the stagecoach trade between Mesquite and Deadwood.

Cash Quinlan, a ruthless entrepreneur, leads a gang of raiders to monopolize the stagecoach business and secure the railroad franchise for himself. His only remaining competitor is Linda Banning's stagecoach company. Steve Prescott and Lucky Chandler join forces with Banning after foiling one of Quinlan's robberies. When Quinlan's men torch their lodgings, Steve recognizes one of the outlaws and decides to use strategy to trap Quinlan. He challenges Lucky to a fight, loses, and then approaches Quinlan with a fake vendetta against Lucky and Banning. Quinlan, suspicious of Steve's intentions, sabotages his wagon and Lucky's stage with dynamite charges, while also sending a third stage to join the race.
