A young boy named Bill receives money from his parents to attend summer camp, but he spends it on a circus trip instead. In retaliation, he feeds the circus lions his mother's sleeping pills. The lion tamer, Arthur Bailey, vows to get revenge. Bill joins the circus and meets a young bareback rider, Fleurette, with whom he develops a romance. When Fleurette gets hurt, Bailey suggests Bill wear a wig and substitute for her. Bailey gets his revenge by controlling a wire that makes Bill spin around, causing the audience to laugh. Eventually, Bailey forgives Bill and they take a thrilling shortcut to summer camp in a circus racing chariot.
