After her father's death, Pollyanna moves in with her Aunt Polly, who is still grieving over a past love for the village doctor. Despite her aunt's initial reluctance, Pollyanna's kindness and good deeds eventually win over the townsfolk. However, her life takes a dramatic turn when she is paralyzed in an accident.
