In the San Joaquin valley, a corrupt politician and his accomplices try to seize all the ranches and blame it on the A&M Railroad Company. They plan to sell the land to an eastern syndicate for a hefty profit. However, the son of a murdered cattleman, Gil Blake, seeks revenge and becomes an outlaw to help the last remaining rancher hold out against the villains. He's aided by a mysterious figure, Rocky Morgan, who's actually the son of the railroad owner and is working undercover.
