In a world where Santa is real, two elves, Chuck and Debbie, grant one human, Erin, three wishes to kickstart the holidays. Erin, who has lost affection for the season, makes a mistake by wishing Christmas would "just disappear". She wakes up to a world where the holiday never existed, realizing she's taken away everyone's joy. She enlists Sam, her charming blind date, to help reinvent the festivities from scratch, learning the importance of the holiday and its traditions, as well as her feelings for Sam.
