A devout Muslim mechanic, Hasmat Ullah, is tasked with repairing a historic V8 Ford engine that once carried Mahatma Gandhi's ashes. When a bomb explosion rocks his town, innocent Muslim youths are arrested, and the community leaders call for a strike to protest their unjust treatment. Hasmat Ullah must decide whether to support the protest and abandon the engine repair or defy his community's wishes.
